Backyard bbq

The other night I went to a BBQ with a family who live on the outskirts of my town. Their vegetable garden was incredible with all types of fresh and delicious treats including giant garlic cloves that we cooked and ate whole. That night, after the temperature dropped, we let off fireworks, ate food and and enjoyed the summer night. It was so lovely. When I went back to the car, I noticed the sky was filled with the most beautiful light, a golden glow that made everything in that moment utterly magical.

Summer gold

Welfe from Neon Sleep has a knack for golden half camera goodness. Above are some of his snaps from the summer. Plenty of sun, pools, bicycles, barbeques, beaches and interesting characters.
Photo envy!

Picnic perfect

After months of cold, snow and very nearly believing that it was going to be winter ... forever ... Easter bought with it the much awaited spring sun and green grass, perfect picnicing. Nom nom.

Campers delight

Camp musical festivals bring out the best and worst in me. I enjoy the continous stream of music through the day to night, debauchery with my friends, meeting new people and making vague and offensive dance movements to favoured bands. I dislike the mosquito bites, lack of mirrors, cold showers and a questionable diet of cornchips, red wine and slightly stale cheese buns.

A summer wasting

It was a glorious summer. For whatever reason there is always more fun to be had in the sun. Mine consisted of drunken lawn bowls, losing mini golf repeatedly, a new romance, backyards and BBQ's, icecreams that melted too fast and made my hands sticky, swimming in ice cold water, sailing, sea sickness and even catching a fish.
